I have a SLR. It’s quite heavy. Most of the photos it takes are of my kids, because I have kids, but I also point it at philosophers and (other) vinous matter. I’ve done a bit of art photography—photographs of art, not photography that is art—quite a lot of which you can see in this book about King’s College Chapel. It’s the closest I’m likely to get to making art, so feel free to hit me up if you’re in the metapicture market.
